The Israeli artist Mike K. Viner is specializing in sculptural caricature.
His works’ singularity lies in ironic conception of reality, portrait likeness and precision of the details, and the specific paint-free technique of working with just original polymer colors. Every detail of a sculpture is hand-made individually, of colored polymer clay, finally becoming a part of a single complete image. The existing Sculpey uniform color palette of the material is enriched individually - by means of the unique technology of the original colors combination, blending, and mixing. The basic material, being not exposed to the subsequent painting, retains natural liveliness of the structure and warmth of the colors. Additionally, this technology eliminates any risk of copying; each piece of work is exclusive and inimitable.
Mike was born in Saint-Petersburg – the Cultural Capital of Russia.
He started his way to art in his earliest childhood with risky clay satire on Socialist leaders. Since than he has never stopped modeling of any possible compound within his reach, having finally come to the Sculpey polimer clay compound.
As a teen Mike was studying in a classical Art School. Got his higher degree in the University of Cinematography and Television. Such educational symbiosis has resulted in his actual sculpturing genre.
Sculptural caricatures, figures of celebrities, musicians, actors, sportsmen, any characters and objects to your preferences, devotions and dreams, whose company will worm up the atmosphere at home or office, and will impress and cheer up your guests. In fact all they need is being in the public eye, attracting audience, gaining attention and provoking smiles.
