Project Instructions
Getting Started:Polymer clay may stain. CLAY MAY DAMAGE UNPROTECTED FURNITURE OR FINISHED SURFACES. DO NOT USE polymer clay on unprotected surfaces. We recommend working on the Sculpey clay mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Cut one 2x9” cardboard rectangle. Make a mark at 8 3/8” of the length. Shape it into a tube, overlapping the 5/8”. Tape in place.
Roll out a sheet of Black on #2 setting through the clay conditioning machine. Using the wet/dry Sandpaper (400 grit) press texture into the Black clay. Using the Sculpey Design It Templates - Jewelry Shapes, cut out 12, 1 5/8” football shapes

Place six of the football shapes in a row and the layer the other six on top of them, where the bottom ones meet. Slightly press together, to make sure they are secure. Place them around the cardboard tube, to shape the bracelet.

On the # 1 setting of the clay conditioning machine roll out a sheet of Just Orange and Fuchsia, layer them and run through the clay conditioning machine on the # 2 setting and then on setting #4 of the clay conditioning machine. Cut long strips, slightly less than ¼”wide strips and shape them into the wavy pattern. Press them to the bracelet base.

Bake according to the directions above and allow to cool completely. You can now show off your new piece.
