Can you mix Sculpey III and Premo?

Sculpey III can be mixed with any of our different polymer clay types including Sculpey Premo. Sculpey III is soft and easy to condition while premo clay holds crisp lines. Sculpey III and Sculpey premo have different baking times so when mixing these two types of polymer clay use an oven thermometer to monitor the temperature and ensure the mixed clay does not exceed the recommended temperature.

How Long Do You Bake Sculpey III®?

  • Bake at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4 in (6 mm) thickness.
  • DO NOT MICROWAVE.
  • DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.

Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
