Olivia
I’m Olivia, a 25 years old polymer clay artist based in Michigan, and owner of Adventurer’s Kiln! All my life I’ve loved to delve into different creative mediums, especially storytelling. I began exploring polymer clay in 2020, but more recently while dealing with the effects of chronic illness, I discovered polymer clay’s ability to take me on adventures and bring my imaginings to life. Now I combine my love of art, stories, and tabletop roleplay games to create unique miniature scenes that capture the essence of a story and elevate the immersive experience of tabletop adventuring. Although I love to incorporate mixed media in my art, I’m constantly trying to push the boundaries of polymer clay itself because I genuinely don’t think there’s a limit to what you can create with it!

Heather Robertson
Hi, I’m Heather Robertson, a mixed media artist and designer, living in England. I studied art and design in South Africa, where I developed a love for the natural world and wildlife, which has had a large influence in all my artwork. I also love stories, myths, legends and fairy tales, and my aim is to combine the richness and beauty of the natural world together with the magic and mystery of the fantasy world. Polymer clay allows me to create magical creatures, full of whimsy, humour, and charm, through the simple use of texture and form (and a little bit of fairy dust!) I was a featured artist in the UK Channel 5 TV show, The Wonderful World of Crafting, which first aired in October 2019, with it being repeated several times since, and have also had many live TV appearances as a mixed media craft demonstrator on Create and Craft TV. I have also taught several online and in-person polymer clay classes. My artwork, tutorials and creatures from the Frosty Feather Forest can be found through my website, Instagram, and Facebook pages, at Heather Robertson Art.

I was born seventy one years ago in Los Angeles, California. I’ve been crafting daily since the age of five. My first projects were rocks. I used to steal them from the neighbor’s yard, paint them into lady bugs, then sell them back to the same neighbors for a dollar. That was big money back then. I left my life of crime in the first grade, when I discovered decoupage. I decoupaged everything in sight for about thirty years. At age 36 I started making glass jewelry. That went on until I discovered polymer clay in 2010. Cane-making quickly became my craft of choice after I saw the work of Jana Roberts Benzon and Jon Stuart Anderson. When I met Christi Friesen in 2013, I knew I wanted to teach. I posted my first Youtube tutorial in that year. Since then, I’ve had over three million hits in 148 countries. I spent several years teaching live classes across the United States; and when travel became too difficult, I started IndyJam, my yearly clay convention in Indianapolis. I’ve been fortunate to have a column in Polymer Café magazine, and I’ve received sponsorships from LC Tools, Let’s Resin, Color Cube, Clickaslice, Blueberry Beads, and, of course, I’ve been a proud member of the Sculpey Design Squad. In 2016 I opened Tiny Pandora Crafting Boutique, where I sell CaneBenders, DeepShine, and EasyCuffs. My Facebook groups, HOP! Hooked on Polymer, Polymer Clay Learning Club, Pandora’s Craft & Chat Club, and Jon Stuart Anderson Objects of Desire, have over 48,000 members. So, crafting, especially polymer clay, has brought me a life I love; and I could not be more grateful to the people at Sculpey, and to all of you.
