Project Instructions
    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

    Baking:
Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
This wrap bracelet that converts into a necklace features just seven simple beads. The trick is to get each bead exactly the same size so it looks symmetrical. For this feat I’m using my Cabochon mold. Condition a small amount of each color and press a lump of one color at a time into the smallest round cab cavity.
Use the Super Slicer to shave off any excess clay that is above the level line.
Flex the mold to release the clay and then shape it into a ball with the palms of your hands. Poke one of the skewers from the Bead Baking Rack all the way through the bead from one side and then the other. Double check that this hole size will be correct for the aluminum wire that you are using.

Repeat this process with each one of the colors of Premo Jewel Metallics. For the seventh bead, mix equal amounts of Azure Blue and Regal Purple together and repeat Steps 1-4 to make another bead.

Bake the beads on skewers on the Bead Baking Rack following the baking instructions for Premo. Allow the beads to cool completely before assembling.
String the magnetic clasp onto one end of the aluminum wire. Carefully bend the wire back on itself making a short-tailed loop to hold the clasp on. Twist the tail of the wire tightly around itself at the base of the clasp.
String the beads on next. Place the Pewter bead on first and then one of the 8 mm jump rings.
String the rest of the beads with jump rings as spacers as shown.
At the other end, wrap the wire tail around the end of the round nose pliers leaving just enough gap between the last bead and the loop to wrap the long tail around a couple of times.

Trim the wire tail closely to the wraps with wire cutters.
Attach a ribbon crimp to one end of the faux leather cord with super glue gel and flat nose pliers.

Attach a small jump ring to the ribbon crimp - this is not shown in the photo but is in fact what I should have done here. Attach the small jump ring to the loop in the end of the wire.

Lay the beaded wire across your wrist. Loosely wrap the faux cord around your wrist 2-3 times to determine how long you would like this cord to be and how many wraps you like. Trim the faux leather cord accordingly and add a ribbon crimp to this end as well.
Add another small jump ring to the second ribbon crimp and attach this jump ring to the other side of the magnetic clasp as shown.

Wear as a wrap bracelet.
Or unwrap and wear as a necklace.
