    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

    Baking:
Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Shape 1/4 bar of Purple into a pear shape. Press the pear shape down on the work surface to flatten the bottom.
Shape Black Glitter into two little teardrops for feet.
Flatten the feet onto the bottom of the body. Make sure the body stands up well on its new feet before proceeding.
From 1/8 bar of Glow in the Dark, shape a thick pointed triangle.
Wrap two of the triangle points around the top of the pear shape making a beard.
Score lines in the beard with the knife tool.
Shape a fat nose from Beige and add it just above the center of the beard.
From 1/4 bar of Just Orange, shape a cone for the hat.
For the spider web, first make a flat circle of Black Glitter. Make another flat circle of Just Orange and place it in the middle of the Black Glitter circle. If the outside edges of the circle aren’t perfect, it’s okay cause a wonky spider web will still look great!
Add another flat piece of Black Glitter to the circles and another Just Orange circle on top of that. Each circle should be smaller than the one before it so that each circle shows.
Push the hat into place on top of the neck and nose. Push the spider web to the side of the hat. Flatten a circle of Black Glitter to the center of the spider web.
Use the knife tool to drag lines that radiate from the center out of the spider web. Just stick the tip of the knife tool into the center of the web and carefully drag it to the outer edge of the web. Repeat all the way around the web.
Make four teeny tiny legs and a tiny body and head.
Press the legs to the head in a little row. Place the body and the head in the center of the legs so the legs stick out each side of the body.

Bake the little guy following the baking instructions for Sculpey III®. Allow to cool completely before handling.
