New Color Tuesday! Introducing Sculpey Premo™ Mocha Pearl
The top row of the large photo contains the 3 colors that I'm mixing with the featured color on the far right. The bottom 3 colors are the colors mixes created by mixing the color directly above with equal portions (1:1) of the featured color. Looking for a darkish background with a little shimmer that ISN’T black? Whelp, here ya go! This color can totally fit that need…but WAIT! It’s a totally cool mix color as well – in fact, when I teamed it up with my favorite Premo Wild Card, Wasabi, it created one of the big colors of the year with just nice dose of shimmer. I don’t know what to call this color other than a very sexy green-gold. The Terra Cotta/Mocha Pearl yielded what I would call an "aged terra cotta" color with a shimmer to it, while the Gold mix yielded a warm, rich "old gold" tone. I decided to throw a little of my beloved Sculpey Soufflé™ into the mixes, using Fiji. WOW! A big surprise with a nice greenish/gray (more green) mix with a lot of visual texture to it. What a great faux stone look! Now, lets see those earrings I created with the Premo Wasabi/Premo Mocha Pearl 1:1 mix: These feature the mix for the background, the Mocha Pearl for the branches and little dots of the other mixed colors for the "seeds". The "tiki" earrings are a b/w transfer of my original artwork onto the 1:1 Wasabi/Mocha Pearl mix. Share your favorite Sculpey mixes with us by using the hashtag #HowDoYouSculpey and don’t forget to mention which clay you are using (#Premo or #Souffle) xoxo, syn
