New Color Tuesday! Introducing Sculpey Premo™ Light Lime

The top row of the large photo contains the 3 colors that I'm mixing with the featured color on the far right. The bottom 3 colors are the colors mixes created by mixing the color directly above with equal portions (1:1) of the featured color.

Ohhhh, will I am typically not a big fan of pastel colors, THIS new Premo™ color has really captured a spot in my little clay color heart! The color of a seedling just popping out of the soil and reminiscent of a frosty Summer adult beverage!

It proved itself as an great color mixer as well, even when I added a couple of my (beloved) Sculpey Soufflé™ colors to the mix. I looove all these mix colors, but I was particularly a fan of the Premo Pale Blue mix and the Souffle Mandarin Orange mix- they are sort of mid-range pastels that look like they have a range most interesting Summer vacation stories to tell.  I CANNOT wait to create more with this color!

Speaking of more - I did an expanded mix range with the Soufflé™ Mandarin Orange/Premo™ Light Lime mix and I oohed and aahed each mix.  They also appear to be in the light skin tone ranges as well.

Okay, I had to use my two favorite mixes to create these earrings. I especially liked that Premo Pale Blue/Light Lime mix and used it for the background for my earrings. I used Etch n’ Pearls to create the flowers. I also used the largest of the Sculpey tear drop cutters for the bulk of the earring and then used the smallest circle cutter to cut the “point” of the tear drop off. I inverted that point to create the top of the earrings.
