Getting started: Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 C) for 15 minutes per ¼” (6mm) thickness. For best baking results, use and oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. •Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Roll a ball of Shine On Glitter approximately ¾” to 1” in size.Roll into a cone shape and twist gently into a horn.Add a bit of Sculpey Bake & Bond to the end of the Gold eye pin or wire loop and insert into the top of the horn. Set aside.
Time to embellish the top of the horn with flowers and leaves. Mix small amounts and equal parts Fantasy Pearl and Cloud Pearl to make Light Green Pearl.Run the Green through your clay machine on the #3 setting. Use your little Kemper leaf clay cutter and cut out at 3 to 5 leaf shapes. Use your 5 in 1 tool pointed attachment to make the veins in each leaf. Set aside for now.Run a small amount of Fantasy Pearl through the clay machine on the #3 setting. Using the larger Premo! Flower clay cutter cut out 2 to 3 Fantasy flowers. Roll tiny Magic Glitter balls and press in the center of each. Set aside.Run a small amount of Cloud Pearl through the clay machine on the #3 setting. Using the little Kemper flower cutter cut out 5 to 6 little flowers. Roll tiny Fantasy Pearl balls of clay and press into the centers of each.Roll a thin snake of Cotton Candy Pearl approximately ¼” thick and 4” long. Run this snake through your clay machine on the #3 setting. Divide this flat piece into 3 pieces approx. 1” long each. To make a little rose roll the flat piece into a spiral gently pinching the base and fanning the edges with your fingertips. Once your rose is the size you want trim the excess. Pinch the bottom and use your clay knife to cut away excess and make a flat base. Make at least 3 roses. Set aside.Roll 3 Confetti Glitter balls. Using the end of your paintbrush press a round indentation in the center of each.
Press the leaves onto the top the horn first and then decorate with flowers in an array that you like. You can use a drop of Liquid Sculpey on the base of your leaves and flowers to ensure they will hold really well.Once you’ve attached the flowers and leaves all the way around the top of the horn set onto your baking sheet. Bake according to package directions.Allow to cool. Attach a jump ring and chain.
