Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275°F (130°C) for 15 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult.Begin by preheating oven to 275°F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by kneading in your hands until colors are mixed and flexible.
Separate your Sculpey III color into two equal portions. Set one portion aside. Combine an equal amount of Sculpey Ultra Light clay with your colored clay. Knead and twist the clay to help combine the two clays.
Once your clays are well mixed, roll the clay into a coil about ¼ inch in diameter. If you have a lot of clay mixed, it may be easier to roll out small portions at a time.
Use your Super Slicer to cut different lengths of the coil for your beads.
Put a hole in each bead with your needle tool (from the Clay Tool Starter Set) by just spinning the needle through the bead, never push. Repeat steps 1-5 for each color. Place all the beads on a cooking sheet and bake as directed above.
String your beads in a random pattern of lengths and color, measuring against your wrist for a comfortable fit.
When you have added enough beads to fit your wrist, trim the ends of the elastic, leaving about 3 inches on either end. Tie the elastic off with a double knot, pulling the ends tightly. Trim the remaining elastic ends to about ¼ inch from the knot. Your bracelet is ready to wear!
To create the Blue and Purple Bracelet use Sculpey III Turquoise, Purple and Granny Smith combined with Ultralight.
