Getting Started:
Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 C) for 15 minutes per ¼” (6mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MIRCROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be done by an adult.
Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Red beads. There are 3 Red different beads. For the first bead roll a small Red ball approximately ¼” in size. Using your 5 in 1 tool, a toothpick or a piece of wire poke a hole through the center and set aside on you baking sheet or tile. The second bead is a small heart. Roll a ball ½” in size and then flatten slightly and point one end. Use the 5 in 1 tool and make a depression at the top and form the heart shape. Make a hole running down vertically through the center of the heart. Set aside on baking sheet. For the last Red bead roll a ball a bit larger than ½” in size. Poke a hole in the center. Roll a very thin snake of Turquoise clay and cut approximately 10 to 12 little equal sized pieces and then roll them into tiny balls. Press these onto your bead in a random fashion. Set this bead onto your baking sheet.
