    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Sheet 1/4 block Ultramarine Blue through the pasta machine on the third thickest setting. Cut out at least four large triangles using the triangle cutter. Place these on barrier paper so they are easy to move around your work space. Sheet 1/4 block each Sunset Pearl, Turquoise, and Frost White Glitter through the pasta machine on the third thickest setting. When the Turquoise color is conditioned, mix in 1/4 teaspoon of silver glitter and sheet it to the third thickest setting. Cut out as many small triangles as you can using the small triangle cutter. Place these onto barrier paper so they are easy to move around your work space.
Sheet Gray Granite through the pasta machine on the thickest setting. Wrap the vase with the clay. Smooth out air bubbles from between the clay and the glass. Trim the seams and smooth them together by finger buffing. Trim the excess away from the open top and smooth the clay around the bottom so the vase sits nicely. Take measurements from top to bottom to find the midline of the vase.
Mark the midline all the way around the vase with a neat line. You can achieve a nice line by gently dragging the small Etch ‘n Pearl tip through the clay. This line is going to be seen in the finished piece so make it as neat as possible.
Mark four equal points along the center line. Place an Ultramarine Blue large triangle on each of the four points with the short tip resting on the midline.
Add a small Turquoise, Frost White Glitter, and Sunset Pearl triangle around each of the large blue triangles.
Add a final Frost White Glitter small triangle above each of the Sunset Pearl triangles. The pattern of triangles is now complete.
Add a decorative circle with the medium Etch ‘n Pearl tool in each of the empty spaces.
Add a small divot to the center of each circle with the 2mm ball tool
Add small divots on either side of the circle with the 2mm ball tool. Bake the pot following the baking instructions and allow to cool completely before filling
