Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured Liquid Polymer Clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately. - Stir Liquid Sculpey® completely. Thin with Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener as needed - Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)
•It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature.•Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 275 ºF (130 ºC) for liquid colors and 300 ºF (149 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures.•If your piece is less than 1/4” bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are 1/4” or above bake for 30 minutes. •If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it or by using aluminum foil over your project.
Prepare the frame by sanding any rough edges. Paint the edges and back of the frame with coordinating acrylic paint and allow to dry completely. While the paint dries, make the mandalas. Place a small amount of Rose Gold Liquid Sculpey (LS) in the center of each of the larger mandalas in the Mandala Silicone Mold.
Stir the Rose Gold LS with one of the purple clay tools. Spread the Rose Gold LS into all the little details of the mandalas with either your fingertip or with the provided squeegee.
Squeegee all the excess Rose Gold LS away with the provided squeegee and return it to the open bottle if possible.
Fold a paper towel into a thick pad and douse with alcohol. Squeegee off any excess LS from the raised surfaces of the mandala designs with the paper towel. Bake the mandalas following the baking instructions for LS.
When the mold is completely cool, gently flex it to release the mandalas. Repeat steps 3-5 and make another set of mandalas in Rose Gold
Stir the Greige Granite LS with one of the purple tools. Squirt a thick line of Greige onto the front surface of the frame.
Spread the Greige Granite LS all over the front surface of the frame with your fingertips. Don’t let the Greige LS run over the edges of the frame. Add Greige LS as needed to make sure the entire surface of the front of the frame is evenly covered. Bake the frame following the baking instructions for LS.
When the frame is cool, add another layer of Greige LS all over the surface
Carefully place the mandalas in the Greige LS as shown. Bake the frame again following the baking instructions for LS
