    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Sheet out the Gold clay on the second to widest setting on the Clay Conditioning Machine (or about 1/8 inch thickness if using a roller). Place the silkscreen, shiny side down, on the clay and apply a small bead of black paint with the paint brush across the top of the screen area. Immediately spread the paint across the screen area, using the paddle included with the silkscreen.
Remove the silkscreen and wash under running water right away. Then admire your new silkscreened clay while it dries!
Once the paint has dried, use the second to largest cutter (or cutter sized to fit the screened pattern) to cut out the pattern. Use the straw to cut a hole in the top of the pattern to hang the charm. Set aside on the baking tray.
Sheet or roll out the Black clay on the widest setting or about 1/8 inch thickness. Place the sheet of clay on the smooth tile. Use the Exacto knife to trace around the selected template
Place the sheet of deli paper over the cut out and gently press the edges down a little to round them. Remove the paper and place on baking tray.
Bake both pieces according to the directions in Step 1. Once the clay has baked and cooled, glue the silkscreened piece to the Black back, leaving room to write on the black clay. Make sure that the hole to hang the charm is top center! Write your message on the bottom black area of the charm. Loop your selected cord through the hole as shown and tie in back of the bottle. And off you go!
