    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Make a long tapered shape from the entire block of Green. Toward the end that is not tapered, pinch a thinner area for the neck.
From 1/2 block of Brown make two big fat comma shapes for the back legs. From the remaining 1/2 block of Brown, make a smaller tapered piece to go down the back and two little front arms. From 1/4 bar of Beige, make a similar shaped piece for the belly.
Flatten the Brown back piece and the Beige belly piece. Press these onto either side of the Green body piece. Smooth the seams with your fingertips.
Bend the neck area and make a nose by pinching the head. Bend the tail into a position that will help prop the body up.
Attach the back legs as shown to help hold the body up.
Flatten the arms slightly. Cut two finger spaces in each arm. Pinch and pull the fingers out to look like claws.
Attach the front arms as shown. Make claws on the feet as well.
Use the knife tool to cut a mouth into the nose area.
Use the knife tool to open up the mouth. Add little strings of White in the top and bottom edges of the mouth for teeth.
Score lines in the teeth.
Add a flat Pink tongue inside the mouth. Poke nostrils in with the poker tool. Poke in eye sockets. Add balls of White for the eyes with Red irises and Black pupils.
Bake the T-Rex following the baking instructions for Bake Shop.
