Kids can create these darling little math manipulatives that have personality. The project is simple enough for young children to make as an art project then use to learn math skills like sorting, sequencing and patterns. The pieces can also be used for graphing, computation, and fractions.

Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey Tools™ Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
Cut the blocks of colored clay into size equal pieces – Yellow, Blue, Purple, Green, Orange, Red
Roll one part into a soft ball using hands and press flat
Repeat to make six of each color.
Make 72 small White Balls of clay. Press into the round shapes to create two eyes on each piece.
Make 72 tiny Black balls of clay add one to the center of each white eye.
Bake following directions on packaging.
Use a permanent marker to add mouths. Paint on a thin layer of Sculpey Glaze Matte and let dry.
