Getting started: Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 C) for 15 minutes per ¼” (6mm) thickness. For best baking results, use and oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. •Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Roll a nickel-sized ball of Magic Glitter. Flatten and shape into a basic profile of a horse head with a nose and short neckline.Roll a small ball and shape it into a teardrop shape for the ear. Flatten slightly and use the end of your paintbrush to make an indentation in the ear. Attach to the side of the head with a drop of Liquid Sculpey.Roll a small cone shaped horn with Shine On Glitter. Gently twist to make the horn. Use a drop of Liquid Sculpey and attach the horn to the top of the head.Roll little 1” snakes of Cloud Pearl, Fantasy Pearl, Confetti Glitter, and 2 snakes of Cotton Candy Pearl. Point one end of each snake.Wrap one Cotton Candy Pearl around the horn. Attach the others to make a mane starting behind the ear with Confetti Glitter, then Fantasy Pearl, then Cotton Candy Pearl, and lastly Cloud Pearl.Use the pointed tip of your 5 in 1 tool and make a nostril.Push a small wire loop or Gold eye pin into the top of the head for hanging. Set onto baking sheet.
Roll a snake of Magic Glitter and Shine On Glitter approximately ¼” by 3” long. Cut 6 equal pieces off each and roll these into equal sized balls. Poke a hole in the center of each to make beads.Mix a small amount of Cloud Pearl with Fantasy Pearl to make Light Green Pearl. Mix a small amount of Cotton Candy Pearl with Fantasy pearl to make Light Orange Pearl. Mix Cloud Pearl and Cotton Candy Pearl to make Light Purple Pearl.Roll balls the same size one each of Cloud Pearl, Cotton Candy Pearl, Light Purple Pearl, Light Green Pearl, Fantasy Pearl, and Confetti Glitter. Poke holes in these. Set all beads on your baking sheet.
Bake according to directions. Allow to cool.With your acrylic paints paint a cute face onto your Unicorn head charm. Allow paint to dry. Attach a Gold jump ring to the charm.Cut a piece of Stretch Magic cording approximately 8” long. Tie a loose knot at one end so when you string on your beads they don’t fall off.String beads onto your cording, using Gold seed beads in between each clay bead. String your 6 Shine On Glitter Beads first, then your 6 Magic Glitter beads, then the Confetti Glitter, Light Green Pearl, Cloud Pearl, Light Purple Pearl, Cotton Candy Pearl, Light Orange Pearl, and Fantasy Pearl.
