Getting started: Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 C) for 15 minutes per ¼” (6mm) thickness. For best baking results, use and oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. •Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Mix a quarter-sized ball of Cloud Pearl and Cotton Candy Pearl. Blend them together to make Light Purple Pearl.Repeat this process with Fantasy Pearl and Cotton Candy Pearl to make Light Orange Pearl.Repeat again with Fantasy Pearl mixed with Cloud Pearl to make Light Green Pearl. You will be using all these colors to make your rainbow.
Roll long thin snakes of each color approximately 6” long by 1/8” thick. Try to make them all as even as possible.
To make the rainbow start with the Light Purple and bend the snake into a small lower case letter “n” shape. Point one end slightly and curl it inward into a small spiral. Leave the left side long for now. Next place the Cloud Pearl snake over the Light Purple. Point and spiral the right end inward again this time a little lower than the first. Keep adding your other colors in this fashion. Light Green Pearl next. Spiral the end to the outside this time. Next comes Fantasy Pearl curling the end to the outside and then Light Orange Pearl curling towards the outside edge and lastly Cotton Candy Pearl. Trim excess off the left hand side to make a nice horizontal line.
Roll a small ball of Magic Glitter clay approximately the size of a dime. Flatten and create a simple flat cloud shape large enough to cover the left end of the rainbow with some of the cloud extending beyond the edge. Smooth edges and press onto the left hand side.Run a small amount of Cloud Pearl clay through the clay machine on the #2 setting. Cut out 4 stars using the small Premo! Star cutter. Press 3 stars randomly onto your rainbow. Poke a hole in the top of your remaining star. Poke a hole at the very top of the rainbow so later you can add the key chain ring. Poke another hole in the longest spiral on the right side so that the last star can hang from it.
Bake according to package directions. Allow to cool.Paint a sweet and happy face on the cloud with the acrylic paints. Attach the little blue star at the bottom with a jump ring. Attach the key ring at the top with your other jump ring.
