Getting Started:Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper or disposable foil. Wash hands after use.
Roll a small ball approximately ½” in size and press flat. This will be the base that supports your flower.
Roll out some clay with your acrylic roller into a nice thin sheet approximately 1/8” thick. Use the smallest Sculpey Oval cutter (2 in) and cut out 25 daisy petal shapes. Use your craft knife and make 3 lines down each petal.
You are ready to assemble your flower. Start by pressing 9 petals around the edge of your little round base. The petals should be half on the base and half off. Add another layer of 9 petals going around bringing them a little further in and placing them in between the other petals. Lastly, press the remaining 7 petals on top of the your second layer. These petals will all come together in the center. Bend the edges of the petals to give the flower a more realistic appearance.
Roll a small ball for the center, approximately ¼ to 1/2 “ in size. Press a little flat. Using a toothpick, make little indentations in the flatten ball to give it some texture. Press this onto the center of your flower. Allow the flower to dry according to your package instructions.
Paint the center of your flower in Bright Yellow. Paint all the petals front and back in the Bahama Blue. Finish off by adding just a touch of the darker Desert Turquoise to the edges of the petals. Once the paint is dry coat the flower with Sculpey Gloss Glaze. Allow to dry and then super glue the flower to your headband.
