Getting Started: Polymer clay may stain. CLAY MAY DAMAGE UNPROTECTED FURNITURE OR FINISHED SURFACES. DO NOT USE polymer clay on unprotected surfaces. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Work ‘n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per ¼" (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult. Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the Clay Conditioning Machine for several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
Troll Face Instructions: For the face make a large oval of Granny Smith. The ears are teardrop shaped.
Press the ears to the sides of the head. Use scoop end of the knife tool to impress eye sockets and ear wells.
Poke the scoop end in and pull down to make a mouth.
Use the sides of the scoop to make a smile.
For the nose, push on an oval shape just under the eye sockets. Poke in nostrils with the blunt point tool. Use the scoop end to pull up on the nose and smooth it.
Add some big Black eyes and some comma shapes for eye brows.
Add a little pink tongue to the mouth.
Princess Costume Instructions I am using the head to make sure I get the size of the princess dress proportionate - but the head and the dress are not actually attached. For the dress, make a Candy pink oval for the bust, two triangles for the sleeves, and a big triangle with a flat top for the skirt. Make sure the dress pieces are all attached to each other.
Add green toes under the dress.
Add oval shaped hands and little thumbs to the sleeves.
For the hair, make Lemonade teardrop shapes in various sizes. Place them over the head to get the sizing right, and curl the ends.
Add a pink band to the bottom of the hair.
Trim the ends of the band. Add some little teardrop decorations to the band.
Decorate the dress and crown as you like.
Using cookie cutters make little flat pieces for signs. Bake the head, dress, hair, and signs separately so they don’t touch each other. When they are cool, write a message on the signs with permanent marker. Glue magnets to the back of each piece
