    Getting Started with Liquid Sculpey:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured Liquid Polymer Clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately. - Stir Liquid Sculpey® completely. Thin with Sculpey® Liquid Clay Softener as needed - Wash hands after use (we have found that baby wipes work best)

•It is important to use oven thermometer when you bake the liquids so that you can ensure your oven is at the correct temperature.•Do not microwave the liquids. They must be baked in a Preheated oven at 275 ºF (130 ºC) for liquid colors and 300 ºF (149 ºC) for Clear – Do not exceed baking temperatures.•If your piece is less than 1/4” bake for 15 minutes. For thicker pieces that are 1/4” or above bake for 30 minutes. •If your liquid project has become yellowed or discolored in the oven, when you remake it, tent it by placing either – folding an index card in half and placing your project under it or by using aluminum foil over your project.
Fill the Lace mold with Gold Liquid Sculpey® (LS). Squeegee off excess and bake the mold following the baking instructions for LS. When the mold is completely cool, leave the Gold piece in the mold.

Smear a thin layer of White LS all over the back of the mold on top of the Gold LS baked piece. Make sure the Gold is completely covered past the Gold edges. Bake the mold again following the baking instructions for LS. This will make a two-colored layered Lace design piece.
When the mold is completely cool, gently flex it to release the baked piece.
Carefully scissor trim a neat edge leaving a border of White extending slightly past the Gold.
Fray the two long edges of the large denim piece. Lay the lace ribbon down the center of the denim piece and place the LS piece on top.
Sew the ribbon to the denim by sewing through a few lentil shaped crystal beads. Tie knots at the back of the denim. Sew beads through the LS piece and through the denim piece. Highlight areas of the lace piece by following the patterns with beads. Tie knots at the back of the denim piece.
Here’s a close up of some of the areas I highlighted by sewing beads to follow the patterns in the Lace. I used gold E-beads in the leaf areas, clear seed beads in a stem area, and light blue and dark blue seed beads on one of the flower pods.
This photo shows another area where I highlighted the pattern with clear seed beads.
I used the large gold E-beads in the leafy areas. I highlighted the flower pods with seed beads in light blue and dark blue
Some of the larger beads I sewed so that they lay down and some I sewed so that they stand up.
When you’re all done, glue the smaller piece of denim to the back side, sandwiching the knots in place with hot glue. This will also make the cuff more comfortable to wear with a smooth piece of cloth at the back.
Allow the glue to dry completely before wearing. The cuff can be worn tied around the wrist for a very bohemian look.
