    Getting Started:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Oven-Safe Work Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

    Baking:
Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 30 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
Sheet Igloo through the pasta machine on the thickest setting. Texture the sheet deeply with the Circles Texture Sheet. First, press the texture into the clay as deeply as you can with your fingertips. Once the texture bites into the clay, you can make it more even by rolling over it with the Acrylic Clay Roller. Carefully remove the texture sheet. Cut out a circle using the 1.5” Circle Cutter.
Make a 3/16” rope from Poppyseed and border the circle with it. Trim the ends and smooth the seam with your fingertips. Add color to your piece by applying a thin layer of Gold Liquid Sculpey (LS) to raised areas. If you like, you can bake your piece at 275 °F for 15 minutes between colors so that you don’t risk smearing them as you work. If you decide to complete the piece in multiple bakings, be sure to add a hole using a needle tool before the first baking.
Add Silver LS and also Black LS to different raised areas. Decide where you would like to put a focal point and add a heat set crystal.
Finally add Peacock Pearl LS to the remaining raised areas. Complete a final 275 °F baking for 20 minutes to make sure everything is set. The heat set crystal will attach itself to the piece during the final baking as well. When the clay is completely cool, add a jump ring to the hole with pliers. String a chain with a clasp through the jump ring.
