Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper or disposable foil. Wash hands after use.
Make a marshmallow shaped piece of clay for the cupcake bottom –about 1-1/8” W x 3/4” H
Roll clay into a snake that is 12” long and tapered at both ends for the icing.
Coil the snake on top of the cake piece – outline the outer edge of the cake piece and then coil upward in layers. Pinch off any excess clay and tuck end of clay in center of coil.
Make tiny balls with clay for the sprinkles and add them all over the icing. Let clay dry completely.
Once dry, paint the sprinkles and cupcake bottom as shown. Allow paint to dry completely,
