So, we are still traveling around my living room here. When you have bold colors (like the big red chair and the walls) regular items just seem to disappear. (But apparently, seasonal decorations DON'T disappear – I believe both Halloween and Christmas are represented here…and it's May.) You can see the black vase on the left of the chair from my previous blog. So obviously any brightly colored clay item can feel at home in this room! (more after the jump!)
Making Colors Pop in Clay Household Items
This is a traditional Japanese dining table that my father-in-law built for me when the Tahichi was a baby. It was dark wood when he gave it to me. One day, I decided that it needed the rainbow of colors on it as well. I painted it free hand and started the little tradition of checkerboard in the room as well along the edges.
