Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 degrees C) for 15 minutes per ¼” (6mm) thickness. For best baking results, use and oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be done by an adult.
Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 degrees C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by running it through the clay dedicated pasta machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
From Jolly Gold Glitter make four large teardrop shapes. Arrange them with the large ends in the middle and the tips pointing out in four directions.
Shape the tail of the eye pin into a loop as shown.
Press the loop into the back of the top teardrop shape and embed it into the clay so that you will have a hook to attach the ribbon to when it’s all finished. Flatten the Jolly Gold teardrops and make sure they connect in the center. Make eight little teardrops from Wreath Green and position two of each on a gold teardrop. Score detail lines in each one.
Mix equal parts Wreath Green and Snowy White to make light green. Make slightly larger flat teardrops and position one on each as shown. Score detail lines in each one.
Place a Holly Red ball at each tip. Score detail lines in each one.
Mix equal amounts of Holly Red and Snowy White to make light pink. Add little light pink balls on either side of the red ones. Poke a hole in each.
Add Snowy White teardrops into each corner and score detail lines.
Bake the ornament following the baking instructions in Step 1. When the ornament is completely cool, add a white ribbon through the eye hook, tie a knot, and trim the tails.
