Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 degrees F (130 degrees C) for 30 minutes. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be done by an adult.
Begin by preheating oven to 275 degrees F (130 degrees C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay.
Stir the Greige Granite Liquid Sculpey (LS) well with one of the purple clay tools. Place a small amount of the LS in the center of the heart design.
Use your fingertip to really work the LS into the flower details of the heart design.
Add more LS and make sure all the little cracks and crevices around the outside of the flower are filled.
Back fill the entire heart shape with the LS. Tap the mold on the table to release air bubbles.
Bake the mold following the baking instructions for LS. When the mold is completely cool, gently flex it to release the molded piece. Any little excess baked LS around the outside edges can be trimmed away with scissors or a craft knife as needed.
Paint the raised surfaces in the flower design and around the flower design with a dry brush of off white paint.
After the off white paint dries, apply a dry brush of white paint to highlight the flower design.
Allow the paint to dry completely and then glue a pin bar to the back with silicone glue.
