Feb 2 fuschiaI’m still working on the sunset colors here and I’m aiming for those orange colors there this week.  I also thought it would be fun to mix Premo!  Cad Yellow with Premo!  Fuchsia to whip up all kinds of tropical colors!  (actually, what I need to do is finally learn to spell Fuchsia the first time I type it!) I really love those last 3 colors! The 8CY/1F looks like it’s going to be a match to our sunset mix! I think that the last two colors on the left, with a pop of Turquoise would be great fun for a summer necklace, don’t you?  I really need to start using Fuchsia more, I tend to forget that I can mix it to create some wonderful colors.

Introducing Sunset Pink Colors

Well, I’ve got to go put my studio back together.  I pulled a lot of equipment out to shoot a video in my kitchen this week and I want to clean the studio before I put everything back in.  YES, this involves a shovel to scrape the clay off the floor!  It’s only Tuesday and I’ve already shot a 90 minute video on Sunday (which took about 9 hours of course!).  Yesterday, I photographed over 100 amazing polymer clay pieces from a private collection for a Masters Gallery Show in Spanish Village here in San Diego in May.  I’ve even cleaned my office up!  So as you can see, I’ve really done just about everything, other than yardwork, to avoid the studio mess.  It’s time…..

I know that the New Color Tuesdays (NCTs) are in the multitudes now, which is why we have a special page of just the mix photos for you (none of my yammering text to distract you). They live on their own page at:  https://www.sculpey.com/create/project/mixing-colors/

And don’t miss out on the biggest polymer clay event of this year – the Polymer Clay Adventure – a year long virtual retreat with 22 instructors.  There are videos and PDFs that you can watch at your leisure.  Go at your own pace, we are only two classes into the year, including my bracelet tutorial, which launched the program for this year!  Read more about it at http://bit.ly/PCAsyndeeholt2015
