Well, here we are at the END OF JANUARY 2017!  Wasn’t it just January 2016?  I’m trying desperately to find time to get out to my clay table sometime this week – and I’m “retired”.  Let me tell you right now, retirement is NOT all about lounging and reading magazines – it’s about cleaning, de-cluttering, parenting, and lots of stuff that really resembles work – except there are no breaks, no lunch hours, no 3 day weekends.

JAN NCT 2017-5Okay, whining over, let’s finish up on our greens.  This is the first time that I actually followed the assigned order for these mixes.  And this mix is amazing.  This is the premo! Accents White Gold Glitter mixed with premo! Green. The last mix is so shiny and sparkly that I couldn’t even get a great photo of it.  Of course, I’m assuming that this would happen with all the different Glitter Golds as well.  premo! Green feels a little translucent to me, so I think that it really helps the glitters pop even more.

Mixing with premo! Green this month was kind of a flashback for me to the days of original colors when it felt like our color palettes were not as widespread as they are now. (Notice I didn’t call it the Good Ole Days – I love me some non-basic colors like Sunset and Wisteria and Glitter Golds)

Once again, I am reminded as well that First Impressions are not always accurate.  The first time I saw these Glitter Golds, I was NOT impressed.  But I am old enough and experienced enough (in clay and maybe life) to know that first impressions can be wrong.  I love these Glitter Golds, especially in mixes.  OMG – wait until you see what happens next month!

As always, the NCT color mix archive can be found at: https://www.sculpey.com/project/mixing-colors/ I’ve been doing some organizing on that page as well, so that you can find each month more easily. I update at the end of each month.
