I’m the first to admit that I’m all about the bright, bold colors, but I occasionally go for a softer color. So this week, I decided to team the premo! Green with premo! Ecru for a series of soft, warm greens. I love the 1:1 mix and the 2E/1G mix a lot. Both are colors that I’ve aimed for with my alcohol pens ad they make a great background color when I just am so tired of blue backgrounds. Actually, that 1:1 mix looks like it would be really nice with premo! Orange or Turquoise as well. I think it would serve to tone down the relentless brightness of the orange (which I, of course, love) and to give the Turquoise a little punch.
I was working yesterday in my Deluxe Designer Studio (garage) during the pouring rain and hail to create next months mixes. It was so damp, that the clay was really sticky, but I was having so much fun that I refused to stop until I absolutely had to (for a conference call). I’m using Black as the mix color next month and every single mix has been a revelation. The color palettes of like mixed colors (1:1s, 4:1s) are just gorgeous. I can’t wait to show you!
As always, the NCT color mix archive can be found at: https://www.sculpey.com/project/mixing-colors/ I’ve been doing some organizing on that page as well, so that you can find each month more easily. I update at the end of each month.
