Sculpey Souffle Classic Fall colors mixed to create a secondary palette of Fall colors.

This week I’m starting with a classic Fall palette of colors, featuring Souffle Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Canary and Grape (that sounded like a pie recipe until I listed the Canary, right?) The mixed set of colors are a lovely set of almost wine colors that still evoke the Fall mood. I was stunned to see that Canary and Grape make a really nice, rich tan-like color. I need to compare it to Latte – I’m betting this is a slightly warmer version of Latte. Way to go Canary for holding your own with the deep Grape color!

To the sub-palettes!

#1 This palette makes me a little hungry! It’s a subtle palette that would look create as coasters or any number of other clay goodies to adorn your house or table. I’d wear these colors too!

#2 Oh, I like this palette for coat and scarf pins! (not that I’m well versed in either growing up at the beach!) I can also see a simple round bead necklace made with these colors.

#3 This is a palette for all my wine-lover friends (yes, that’s most of them). Again – I can imagine a simple necklace of these colors – maybe against a Cinnamon colored shirt?

My oldest son is here sleeping off his loong plane ride from Japan yesterday and then we are off to OKC for a few days to see my daughter-in-law for the first time in 2-1/2 years and cheer her on in a fitness body-building competition! Then the next day we are celebrating her birthday early with an equally early version of Thanksgiving (which is hard for them to celebrate in Japan!).
