We've been invited to share Thanksgiving dinner with friends at their home this year.  So I'm not making the turkey, just a few dishes to bring to take the load off my host and hostess.  Since I'm not pressed for time or really busy in the kitchen, I can play with clay instead!!

I came up with this little placecard holder today.  It was really easy because I used the leaves from the mini cutter nature set and Premo Accents metallic colors.  On top of the pile of leaves, I sculpted a little bitty acorn.  I dusted the leaves and acorn with mica powders.  A little glitter goes a long way here too, if you are so inclined.  I used a gold finish jumbo paperclip from Staples embedded in the clay base to hold the card.

If you're into papercrafting, you can use alphabet stamps on the card and a little distress ink around the edges.  If not, try a brush marker or caligraphy pen.  Go ahead, lets all let our inner Martha come out!
