Trying to mix lovely soft yellows can be, well, trying, to say the least! While I was aiming for that second color from the left, I didn't realize that my printout was a little more magenta than this image is, so the colors are going to look a little skewed. If I had it to do again, I think I would have mixed Cad Yellow, White and a touch of Rhino Grey. (maybe????)
Here is the mix palette I came up with for this color. This photo still looks a little more magenta than the original color chip does, but I like the yellows a lot.
Last week I posted a little tutorial on the NCT blog post about how I use the scraps from all these mixes and I called it the "Meisha Smash". It's been renamed the "Meisha Mash" by Cynthia Tinapple and I find[caption id="attachment_22851" align="alignleft" width="300"] http://polymerclaydaily.com/2016/01/11/a-new-mashup/[/caption]
that a LOT easier to say without 3 attempts to form the words! It was featured on Polymer Clay Daily this week and I've included a screenshot of the post for you. This is the pendant that goes with my hatband that I wore everyday I think at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) mega show in Anaheim. (coloring was king this year if you want to know that the "trend" was).
