I can't believe it! The last NEW color palette of the year..WHERE THE HECK DID THE YEAR GO??
I thought I would do my last palette with as many of my 2018 "color crushes" as I could- so you see Pistachio, Guava and Copper - all have been noted in my NCTs as favorites. And Souffle Lagoon - a quiet contender, especially when I don't have any Sea Glass LOL!
I personally don't think that there is a bad mix you can do with Pistachio - it may not come out like you thought it would, but I bet it's interesting!
Guava just fascinates me - it looks soooooo Pink in the package, but somehow gives off a warm tropical vibe after baking. The color of the baked looks identical to the unbaked, so I can't figure out how that exactly happens.
Copper languished in my clay cabinet as the red-haired step child to Bronze for a long time. But this year, Copper came into it's own on my clay table. In fact, it seldom leaves my clay table for the cabinet anymore.
And Souffle Lagoon - a quiet contender, especially when I don't have any Sea Glass LOL! Lagoon seems to have mysteries surrounding it while Sea Glass is just in-your-face happy.
Now the sub-palettes:
#1 No lie, I love, love this palette. I might through Robin Egg Blue into it for a contrast or Sea Glass?
#2 See what I mean about Lagoon being mysterious? I love the way the Premo Accent metallic micas disperse in Souffle and the surface texture is really cool!
#3 Obviously I love the Pistachio/Copper mix - it's in all 3 palettes. Anything that even remotely looks like a soft butter or maize color is gonna find a way into my color palettes!
Next month I will show my 4 favorite palettes for the year and then we start on 2019. I'm thinking of 2:1 mixes for next year...
