The week is the cool lavenders in the watercolor by my cousin, Doris Ettlinger. I'm still continuing my exploration of Ecru - Julie Picarillo discovered Ecru eons ago and I'm just getting on the bandwagon. And get out of here! Premo! Periwinkle and Ecru 1:1 make the most beautiful deep grey! Whaat??? But when the Ecru is added to the mix sparingly (not sometime I'm used to!), it brings the pastel element down a little to a lovely lavender like early morning light shade..[caption id="attachment_24278" align="alignleft" width="300"] Our Spring watercolor we are matching to this month[/caption]
This is uncharted territory for me - I'm not a lavender person. That being said, my entire front yard is in bloom with various purples, since a lot of low-water natives and imports have purplish blooms. I think I counted 8 different plants blooming in purple right now.
