I love working with faux clay techniques to create stones and faux metals for use in my jewelry.  There are may tutorials out there and I have created a lot of my own and wanted to share some other bloggers versions of a faux  technique.  I like Practically Functionals version and the look of the faux turquoise she creates.  Hers is heavier in the black graining than the method I use but I love it just as much.

Next on the list is a set of totally amazing Faux Beach Pebbles by Debi's Design Diary not only is the project totally awesome her video is too.  I want to craft with her.

The third faux technique is one I make over and over and never get tired of it.  Faux ceramic tile is as varied as the tiles that inspire them.

How about a tutorial for faux granite that is really easy and only uses two ingredients?  That is right two supplies that you might already have in your craft stash.  If you do not they supplies are inexpensive to purchase too.

I hope you have enjoyed this collection of faux techniques using polymer clay.  You can take the process of making the faux look and turn them into jewelry and so much more.  Do you have a favorite stone that you would like to recreate with polymer clay?  Drop me a line and I will see if I can come up with a clay version.  I love a good challenge.
