Lynn Yuhr has lived in Miami most of her life, growing up living on a boat and then becoming a professional field geologist. She has always had a love of nature and the vivid colors that surround her. She often uses these colorful palettes from nature as a focal point in her contemporary jewelry, art journals and mixed media endeavors. She loves being creative and is passionate about polymer clay. She holds a firm belief that the act of creating something softens one’s heart and opens one’s mind. With this philosophy, she readily shares her creative techniques and teaches both locally and nationally. She is a founding member and past-president of the South Florida Jewelry Arts Guild (2005) and is an active member of the South Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. She recently began blogging about creativity, traveling, art journaling and yes, polymer clay in February 2016 at www.theflyingsquirrelstudio.wordpress.com.
