Recent work can be found in Art Journaling, Cloth, Paper Scissors, CPS Studios, AJ Art Calendar and in Faber Castells Art Journaling and ATC Kit instructions manuals.

Kari has taught for years at venues both large and small, locally around Columbus, Ohio and nationally. As a young teenager, she won a scholarship to Columbus College of Art and Design, going on to get her BA in Fine Arts at Taylor University and then on for post graduate degrees at Rochester Institute of Technology and Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology. Kari lives on the family farm in the Columbus Ohio area with the love of her life, her helpful and supportive husband Mike, who tolerates her forgetting about dinner, and puts up with her huge mixed media stash.

And Christmas is upon us!

I’ve been paying particular attention this year to pocket-sized handmade art pieces.    Sculpey never fails me when I need to work small.  I love to be able to have a literal forest of Christmas trees  in an afternoon.  Or and abundance of small hostess gifts for holiday parties in just a few hours. Calming Clay

A Little Dreaming

Brrr!  It’s cold in Ohio, and I am bundled up inside ready to go on a warm vacation to someplace sunny! I’m sure I’m not the only one bundled up, working on projects inside this time of the year.  As for myself, it seems as when the weather turns cold, my art tend to favor projects that
