Claire Maunsell has worked with many media over a life time love affair of working with her hands. She trained at the Sheridan College of Crafts and Design in hot glass and ceramics and then built her own hot glass studio beginning a 20 year career producing unique decorative glass. After retiring from glass, she was drawn to the medium of polymer for its potential in realizing light weight jewelry with fantastic surfaces. She specializes in researching techniques for surface decoration on polymer and applies these to the hollow forms she has learned to make in polymer using skills learned in glassmaking. She lives across the river from the Canadian capital in Gatineau, Quebec with her family.
