Kids will love making these delicious-looking erasers that really work.

Getting Started

Preheat oven to 250 °F. Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. Condition all clay by kneading until it’s soft and smooth. Have an adult help you with baking your project.

Step 1

Roll 1" ball of Brown into a 1" long log, tapering one end slightly.

Step 2

Flatten both ends by pressing each end against a flat surface.

Step 3

Use a toothpick or grater to texture around the entire cupcake.

Step 4

Flatten a 9/16" ball of Brown into a 1" wide circle.

Step 5

Press onto top of cupcake.

Step 6

Roll a 3/32" wide log of White.

Step 7

Loop over center of cupcake.

Step 8

Bake Eraser Clay figures at 250 °F for about 10 minutes. The clay is slightly under baked so it will degrade and disintegrate as it erases. Be certain to calibrate your oven by checking the true temperature (as opposed to dial reading) with an external thermometer.
