Project Instructions
Do not use unbaked clay on unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Start with clean hands and work surface area. Good work surfaces include wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Knead clay until soft and smooth. For best results, clean your hands in between colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces together firmly. Bake on oven-proof glass or metal surface at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4” (6 mm) thickness. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. Wash hands after use. Baking should be completed by an adult.Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). Test temperature with oven thermometer for perfectly cured clay. For best results, condition all clay by kneading in your hands or by running it through a Clay Conditioning Machine several passes on the widest setting. Fold the clay in half after each pass and insert the fold side into the rollers first.
With the Clay Conditioning Machine on setting #1, roll the Glow in the Dark clay into a sheet. Cover the clay with a sheet of plastic wrap and cut out 3 ghosts through the plastic wrap. Carefully remove plastic wrap.
Make 6 very small balls of Just Orange clay. Put them on your ghosts for eyes. Add tiny Black balls of clay for the center of each eye. If the Black is a little off center the ghosts look friendly. Add a small amount of the Orange craft chalk to the bottom of each ghost and bake the ghosts as directed above. Allow to cool.
Create the card from the Gingerbread paper or the darkest sheet of your paper. Cut an 8" x 5 1/4" rectangle and fold to create a 4" x 5 1/4" card.
Rip a strip of Evil Eye ,or your medium value, paper. Ink the edges and adhere to center of the card.
Use the Spellbinder Nestabilities 2” x 2” label and cut out a Buttercup label. Stamp with Trick or Treat stamp. Ink edges with stamp pad. Adhere over ripped strip.
Using craft glue adhere the Glow In The Dark ghosts. Allow to dry.
TIPIf the edges of your ghosts are a little rough after baking use an emory board to smooth them out.
