Your workspace:
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on the Sculpey® Work ‘n Bake Clay Mat, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.

Getting Started:
Start with clean hands, unwrap and knead clay until soft and smooth, or condition by running clay though a Pasta Machine. We recommend using a designated machine for clay purposes only. When working with multiple colors, clean hands with soap and water or baby wipes (we have found that baby wipes work best) before switching colors. Shape clay, pressing pieces firmly together. Wash hands after use.

Baking:
Begin by preheating oven to 275 °F (130 °C). After you are done creating; for best results bake clay on an oven-proof surface such metal, aluminum foil, an index card or the Sculpey® Clay Mat at 275°F (130 °C) for 15 minutes per 1/4" (6 mm) thickness according to package directions. Oven safe glass or ceramic surfaces are also acceptable for baking; however please note that the baking times may take longer as the glass or ceramic surfaces take longer to heat up. For best baking results, use an oven thermometer. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN. DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME.
To make a lighter green take a 1/2” ball of White and a 1/2” ball of the Emerald. Mix the two balls together to make the light green you will use for the frog’s spots.
Roll a 1 1/4” ball of darker green clay into a pear shape.
Roll two 3/4” balls of the darker green into snakes about 2” long. Bend and pinch the ends together for the back legs. Press to the pinched ends of legs to the sides of the body.
Shape two 1/2” balls of Emerald into plump triangle shapes for the back feet and two 1/4” balls of Emerald into smaller plump triangles for the front feet. Press to the base of the body.
Press two 1/4” balls of White for eyes to top of body. Add two tiny Black pupils. Roll a 1/4” ball of Emerald into a snake to about 1/2” long. Flatten with your fingers and press to the back and top of eyes for the eyelids. With a toothpick draw a smile. For the lower lip, roll a 1/8” ball of Emerald into a snake to about 1/4” long and press to the bottom of the smile.
Roll a few 1/8” balls of the light green mixture you made at the beginning and press in different places on the body of your frog for spots. Add some small spots of the frog's feet as toes.
Bake as directed above in Step 1.
