I went shopping at Michaels and found this great tool to make earring wires and toggle clasps. It is made by bead landing and is called a Jewelry Jig. It comes with four templates. Three of them are to make earring wires and one is to make toggle clasps. It has raised plastic inserts which the wire is twisted around and then cut into the individual pieces, how much easier can it get. It comes with full instructions on the back and says, for best results to use 20 Gauge wire. It is a great tool to have at hand and makes the shaping of wire, into the required shape, so much easier.
