Ring holder Mother's Day project
A couple of years back we went through a phase of painting our own pottery. We acquired many different things, from dog bowls to a ring holder. Whoever came up with the idea of a ring holder should be congratulated. It is such a neat thing to have. Mine sits on my kitchen window sill and I use it quite often. I would often look at it and think,”I can make this out of polymer Clay”. So here's my version off a ring holder.
What a great find I had today. I had a fun day shopping with my daughter Alina at a nearby JoAnn's fabrics. I always stroll around and look to see if there's something I can use for my little projects.
I found these great Stretch Magic Necklaces, which I think are great for children's necklaces. They are easy to open and close and come in a fun variety of colors. They also had some black ones, but I really loved the multicolored ones.
I found something fun at pinterest, a silver aluminum bird, made by Karismabykarajewelry on etsy. I loved the design and thought it would be a great idea to make it with Polymer clay. So I chose some sculpey III turquoise, conditioned it and made a long snake with the extruder, then I shaped it like the picture of the bird, baked it and put a ribbon onto the top. So cute. I made it large enough to hang it into the window, but I think it would be cute to make it smaller and add to the wrapping of a presant.
