Shelly Comiskey

Shelly Comiskey has been designing professionally with polymer clay as well as illustrating since 1997 with her company Simply Shelly Studios. She has been working with polymer clay since 1989, when she sold her polymer ornaments as well as tole paintings at local craft shows. Things were going so well with the craft shows that she was able to quit her regular job and work at home with her then baby daughter. What started as a hobby has turned into her true passion into a career.

Shelly now spends her time designing and illustrating for the craft, scrapbook and gift industries. She has written four books on working with polymer clay, in which one was sculpting the Disney characters. She designs kits, molds and projects for Polyform Products as well as ornaments and gift ware for Blossom Bucket, a gigt ware company. She also illustrates and has a continuing line of rubber stamp with Whipper Snapper Designs, computer clip art for scrapbooking with Pccrafter (Provo Craft), and a line of signature series embroidery cd's for Cactus Punch. Her style has a warm and whimsical feel with a sometimes silly edge. She feels blessed to have a career which is built on her passion for art.
