Marie Segal
Marie Segal started oil painting at the age of 10, had her first show in 1964, and was allowed to display her paintings in Disney Studios at the age of twelve. She trained in ceramics, fine art, commercial art, jewelry and casting, crafts, and photography.
She has worked in polymer clay since the late 70s, approaching Polyform Products Company in Chicago, IL in 1994 to make user friendly and versatile American Polymer clay, Premo! Sculpey is the by-product of that venture. She runs her business, the Clay Factory, with her husband, where they encourage others to be the best that they can be.
Marie is an inspirational teacher who has taught world-wide, written articles, and several books, made videos, designed products, tools and kits for polymer clay, and appeared on TV, but mostly she "likes to play clay with others and create a riot in their minds." Marie lives in Escondido, California.
