Leigh Ross
"Well, I've been saying for years that I was born crocheting my umbilical cord!"
This is the usual response when Leigh Ross is asked how long she has been involved in the worlds of arts and crafts. Through the years, she has dabbled in, and become proficient at just about any art and craft medium you can imagine.
But when she discovered Polymer clay in 1990, she knew that here was the medium that would take her creativity and artistry to new heights. She feels that there are no boundaries in working with polymer clay, and her body of work is ample evidence of this belief. From her sculpture to her magnificent cane work and bead creations in the Millenium Garden Series, to her Faux Flower work (featured in "Celebrations in Polymer Clay" by Sarajane Helm), she has constantly expanded her artistic vision, and made the clay a willing partner in her art. She is currently on the Editorial Board of Polymer Cafe Magazine.
Besides all this, Leigh is the owner of Polymer Clay Central (http://polymerclaycentral.com), perhaps the largest and most popular website dedicated to promoting polymer clay as a valid art medium, and many of her lessons and tutorials are available there, as well as hundreds of other projects and articles. Leigh feels that PCC is a lifelong commitment, and she intends to keep it informative and cutting edge, and to provide an ever expanding source of information for clayers all over the world.
