Materials
and Tools:
- Glass votive
- Vellum stickers
(mine were from Mrs. Grossman's)
- Translucent
Liquid Sculpey
- Flat brush
(dedicated to TLS or disposable is easiest)
- Window cleaner
or rubbing alcohol
- Paper towels
- Clear embossing
powder
- Spoon
- Scissors (optional)
- Oven, thermometer,
and baking tray
- Future floor
finish
- Cotton swab
- Candle
Directions:
1. Use the paper
towels and window cleaner or alcohol to thoroughly clean the glass
votive.
2. Adhere the
vellum stickers to the outside of the glass in desired pattern.
If necessary, use scissors to trim stickers to fit. Press the stickers
firmly in position so that all edges are firmly stuck.

3. Use the flat
brush to apply a thin layer of TLS over the outside of the entire
votive (except the bottom)

4. Spoon clear
embossing powder over the TLS covered votive. Recover the excess
embossing powder and return it to the container. I find it easiest
to store my embossing powders in shallow Hefty or Gladware containers-
I can hold my project above the open container and let the powder
fall back into it as I work.

5. Place the
votive top-down carefully onto the baking tray.

6. Bake at 275
degrees F for 15-20 minutes.
7. Remove from
oven and let cool completely.
8. Use cotton
swab to apply thin coat of Future. Let dry. Apply additional coats
if desired.
9. Insert candle.
Note: for
a heavier "frost" on the glass, complete step 6 then repeat steps
3-6 before applying the Future.
