Sculpey Does the Season's Hottest Colors for Spring and Summer 2006

It's HARD to pick just a few colors. But, it's relatively easy to mimic the colors in Sculpey. I decided that I would mix the colors both in the Premo! Sculpey and in my favorite Ultra Light/Scupey III mix. Why me? One of my majors for my Photography degree was in Color Theory. I know, that's the color of LIGHT, which is different than the color of PIGMENT. But, I worked for over 12 years in photo labs, reading the colors of the negatives and retouching thousands of photos. THAT was expert color matching on the fly. You had seconds to expertly match a color, blend it into the surrounding area and move on to the next spot. Our dyes were based on the Grumbacher oil line, so the colors of Premo! Sculpey are just like home to me.

The pastel combinations are perfect to add text to your frames or scrapbook pages. Of course, it just wouldn't be the season without some flowers. Click on this link for an easy way to create some great flower designs:

Now let's do a project with our bolder colors. The Peach color, green and turquoise combine with a thin border of black to make a great faux wooden bead. Click on this link for directions:
