Directions:
1. Water: fill the washtub with Lt. Blue Pearl clay. (Hint: to use
up scrap clay, fill washtub with scraps and pack firmly. Add a
layer of Lt. Blue Pearl to cover top.)
2.
Body: Roll a ¾” of Super Sculpey into a teardrop
shape 1 ½” long. Cut 1” off of the pointed end.
Press flat side onto top of washtub, centering in the middle.

3.
Head: Press ¾ths of a flat toothpick into the top of the
body until the toothpick touches the bottom of the washtub.
Roll
a ½” ball of Super Sculpey and press into the
exposed toothpick at the top of the body.

4. Arms:
Roll a 3/8” ball of Super Sculpey into a pointed worm
shape 1” long. Cut in half. Press onto sides of body
with pointed ends at the neck.

5. Beard: Roll a ¾” ball of white clay into a teardrop
shape 2” long. Starting at the rounded end, bend back and forth
along the entire length and curl the tip. Cut 3/8” off
the rounded end. Press cut side onto chin. Press gently to
attach beard
to the body.
6. Moustache:
Roll two 1/8” balls of white clay into teardrop
shapes 3/8” long. Curl tips slightly and press onto the center
of the face with rounded ends in the middle, just above the beard.
Nose: Roll a 1/16” ball of Super Sculpey into an oval shape
and press onto the center of the face, just above the center of the
moustache. Eyes: Using the end of a rounded toothpick, press seed
beads into the center of the face just above the nose. Add eyelashes
with the end of the toothpick. Cut head off just above the eyes at
a 45 degree angle.

 7. Hat: Roll
a ¾” ball of maroon clay into a teardrop
shape 1 ½” long. Cut ½” off of the pointed
end at a 45 degree angle. Press onto top of head.
 8. Hatband:
Flatten some white clay to 1/16” thick. Cut a
3/8” wide strip. Starting at the back, wrap around the front
of the hat, covering the seam between the head and the hat. Trim
off any excess in the back. Bend ¼” of the hat tip to
one side. Press an eye pin in the top edge of the hat until only
the eye is exposed.
 9. Bake according
to package directions and cool.

10. Lights: Cut
a 6” length of lights (6 or
7 lights). Use hot glue to add them to the top edge of the washtub.
11. Bubbles: Use hot glue all over the Lt. Blue Pearl area. Sprinkle
generously with no-hole glass beads. (Do not let hot glue harden
before adding beads. For best results, alternate glue and beads in
several sections.) Let cool.
12. Seal: Some of the “bubbles” will eventually pop off
of the hot glue. Use a paint brush to cover the bubbles with a clear
acrylic coating. Let dry.
