Be careful not to cut too deeply.

Armatures:
- Hammer 4 nails into bottom
of dowel as armatures for legs. Hammer nail into end of dowel for
tail.
- Hammer either a nail or
metal hook where head will be. The angle of the hook will determine
the angle of the head.
- Paint the dowel silver.

Legs and tail:
- Measure 4 equal parts of
Premo Silver for legs, approximately 1/2" balls. Form into cylinders
and push onto nails for legs.

- Create toes with needle
tool.
- Using 3/4" ball of silver
clay, form tail and slide over nail. Securely attach to wooden dowel.

- Gently press wide end of
'teardrop cutter' to form a 'scale' pattern all over legs and tail.
If you do not have a 'cutter' just use your finger nail.

- Roll a 1" ball of clay
and form neck.
- Roll a 1/2" ball of clay
and shape into teardrop shape for head. Flatten bottom to form 'upper

- Roll 3/8" ball of silver
clay and form into teardrop shape. Attach to bottom of head to form
'lower jaw'. Flatten slightly to accommodate 'teeth'.

- Put small amount of white
clay through pasta machine at #2 setting or, roll out using clay roller
to about 1/8" thickness.

off 2 pieces about 1/8" wide by 3/4" long. Using 'needle tool' create
teeth.

Snout and Nostrils:
- Roll two 1/8" balls of
silver clay for snout. Place on head. Using ball tool, form nostrils.

white clay for eyes. Flatten out 2 small balls of silver and cover
1/2 of each eye ball. Add 2 small dots of black for pupils and highlight
with tiny dot of white.

Spikes and Spots:
- Using color of your choice,
create 'spikes' for back of Darrel. Attach to Darrel, starting at
his head and work all along the dowel. You may have to use a little
Weldbond glue when you are adding clay to the wood. Add tiny spots
to decorate dowel.

Bake at 275 degrees F for
30 minutes. Be certain to calibrate (check) the accuracy of your oven
with an external thermometer (available at hardware stores). Add PENS
and you are done!
